the question for the gop, are you prepared for this barack obama? you didn't seem to be able to handle the first one. are you prepared for this one who now has the kind of wind in his sails going into a second term that can be very, very good for him in terms of at least in the first six or so months laying down some hard lines for the gop to cross. i think they can, but they're going to have to make the argument, you know, from a principled position, get off the crazy noise we have -- >> don't they have -- >> distract -- >> on an issue we just talked about which is at the heart i think of the common conversation in this country, we're on the same page about guns right now. bob, you agree, right? we're talking about guns. he didn't change the topic. it's the topic, right? >> it had to be the topic. what happened was the tragedy has been so vivid, he's been so powerful and clear, that it shattered the old nra notion that somehow or other this was about gun confiscation. i agree with michael, it's put the gop in a very difficult position because they

president obama and his family get a rent free deal to live there for the next four years. you could say every american taxpayer owns just a little piece of the white house. felicia taylor, i wanted to talk to you about this. i saw this article in zillow had calculated this morning, just having fun, the white house isn't for sale. in terms of dollars and cents, if someone wanted to buy the white house what do you think it would be worth? >> about a cool $295 million. not such a big price tag. >> please. >> you certainly make enough to afford that, i know. anyway, zillow used public data and recent sales to figure it out. it buys you 50,000 square feet, 132 rooms, and three kitchens because one isn't enough. you got a pool, a movie theater, a bowling alley, that was because of the nixens, they asked for that one, a jogging track, which bill clinton added. the value of the white house got up, though, since obama came into town, up about 7% since 2009 and that does mirror the housing market, which peaked in 2006. and then fell before recovering. so, you know, not bad. >> not b
